Reagan loves to be outside!

Reagan loves being outside. We go to Stroller Strides several days a week and she loves riding in the stroller and then playing afterwards with her little friends. I could watch her play with her little friends all day long. I love this age where babies just seem to blossom into little people. She can choose things she wants.

We've also been swimming several times already and she is a water baby. I don't have any pictures from swimming because having 3 kids in the water is never a convenient time to be getting a camera out, but this is her after swimming. I think she had fun!

8 Months {Reagan}

(It was getting well past 8 months when I decided to throw the 8 month sticker in my bag and try and get a picture on the run. Reagan wasn't really into taking pictures this day so this was the best I got.)

At 8 months Reagan...

Is completely content sitting up and rolling from place to place and has no interest in crawling.
Still has no teeth and very little hair, but lots and lots of smiles and energy.
Is sleeping like a champ through the night and for naps.
Loves to eat. She is still breastfed and eating baby food, big people food, cheerios, and tries to steal brother and sister's food all the time.
Has a reach of 5 times what you would think it is. This girl can grab anything. She's ready for the WNBA.
Talks some baby talk and babbles on and on.
Still thinks her brother and sister are hilarious until they bump in to her.
Is super sensitive... and dramatic. :) If anyone bumps into her, another baby grabs her, or probably even looks at her the wrong way she will cry the most drama-filled cry you've ever seen. It doesn't last long, and it's so funny to watch. And so not typical of a 3rd child.
Loves playing in water, snacks, being held, being rocked before bed, holding her own drink (usually prune juice and water), her toys, and her family.

Precious Moments

I've got several "occasions" to post since I'm way behind, but before I get caught up with all of that (and figure out why my phone app for posting easily isn't working) here are a few random pictures of pure cuteness (just ignore me post workout).

Look at this sweet, happy baby. She loves stroller strides and she's extra happy because she just ate something. Stroller strides is from 9:30-10:30 and every day I have a little 10:30 alarm reminding me that she would like her food.

Nothing makes my heart happier than watching Wyatt love his sisters. He wanted to tuck Kenley in with me.

Big smiles and giggles.

She's getting so big. She loves to swing!

The place that we work out at on Tuesdays and Thursdays has a few ponds and a creek. We found these brand new ducklings and now Kenley is obsessed. I'm pretty sure she would let me park the stroller by them all day and she would sit and watch them. We look for them every week. That's 13 ducklings!

Another day we found the ducks in the big pond.

Aunt Sarah had a band concert that she invited us to. We were all going to go, but the girls were cranky and fussy and so we decided to make it a Mommy and Wyatt date night. He loved watching Aunt Sarah and all the big kids playing the instruments.

After the concert my date and I went to a frozen yogurt place. We hung out, chatted, and watched some of the movie that was playing in the yogurt shop before heading home. When we got home, the girls were already in bed which made Wyatt feel extra special that he got to stay up past bedtime. Although, before he knew they were sleeping he asked if we could bring some home for Kenley. He's always taking care of his sisters.

I LOVE ruffle pants and matching outfits! I know it's silly, but I only have a short time to dress them in ruffles and matching clothes and so I'm going to do it while I can. My mom did it to my sister and I and I'll do it to my girls.

I love this awful picture. Kenley has a messy ponytail from nap and no pants, the sun is glaring on the carpet, Wyatt's laundry is on the steps, but look at these precious babies sitting together and playing. I love it.

It's already warm enough for this crew to head to water. These kids (even Reagan) love water. Any form of water, any state of water... they want to play with it, in it, near it... whatever they can get away with. On this day we went to the splash pad/fountains to play and have a picnic. Chris met us for lunch, too. It was a great beginning to summer.

Kenley's Princess Day

The Melting Pot in Addison had a Fairytale lunch and I decided to take just Kenley and let her have a special day. She was so excited and called it her Princess Date. This is the dress she wanted to wear and I even let her wear my necklace that she always tries to get out of my jewelry cabinet.

We met my sister, Peyton, my mom, and my stepmom there. Kenley got nervous once we walked in and I couldn't get her to smile in the princess chair, but she warmed up as soon as we got to our table.

She took off her crown and gave it to me. Then got right to dipping.

Posing with Grandma.

It was a long lunch for 2 little girls but they had a blast and were so good. Here they are dancing and posing together while they wait for the chocolate.

And pictures with Grammy.

I wanted to show a picture of Peyton and Aunt Lisa and this is the best I took.

We had so much fun and it was a perfect princess day to celebrate our little girls. Oh and I almost forgot... Baby Jackson (who is 7 weeks old) was there, too. He snoozed the whole time and couldn't be bothered with any of this princess business. :) I didn't even get a single picture of him. 2 hotplates on the table, several pointy skewers, 2 little princesses, and lots of food had us all pretty occupied.

Basketball {Wyatt}

Wyatt has been asking to play basketball for.ev.er. He is finally old enough (well, sort of) to play. I signed him up to play with the YMCA in McKinney. I didn't want to put him in the 4/5 class because he wanted to play with real basketball goals (not the little tykes plastic ones) and he wanted to play games not just practice (like Uncle Garrett does) so I signed him up for the next group that I thought said it was for kindergartners but all the kids on his team are in 1st grade. These pictures are from his first practice and he did great. He was super excited to get to play and made several baskets. His first game was last weekend and these kids were good! We were so proud of Wyatt for hustling the entire time (only 5 kids were at the game so they all got to play the whole game) and staying focused. He wasn't quite sure how to get the kids to pass him the ball and there was a lot going on at a very fast pace so hopefully once we work with him and after another practice he will have it figured out for the next game.  We are so proud of you, Wyatt!

6 and 7 Months {Reagan}

This sweet girl is more than half a year old already! Things have been so busy around here that I skipped right on past Reagan's 6 month well check appointment and ended up taking her in at 7 months. So these stats are actually her 7 month stats.

15 lbs 15 oz
25.25 in

She's almost sitting up on her own, but still tumbles over without support. She eats 4oz of baby food (whatever I made up that week) twice a day and is still nursing like a champ. We just started puffs and baby crackers, and chopped food that she can grab. She is definitely a fan of this freedom.

She still has a sensitive tummy so she takes Prevacid every day. She also takes Miralax and probiotics in her food and the doctor told us to start giving her a water bottle to try and help the constipation issues.

Her favorite things to do are play in the exersaucer, ride in the stroller, eat, take baths, have Wyatt and Kenley play with her, be held, and sit and people watch. She loves being outside.

She hates being laid down on her back and tummy to play by herself, sleep training, and waiting for her food. Reagan has the same amount of patience as her mama - NONE. She likes things done when she wants them done, which is usually 5 minutes ago. She also has quite a temper (from her Daddy, I'm sure) and she can be perfect and giggly one minute and screaming the next. She keeps us on our toes, but for the most part she is a super happy baby.

Her biggest accomplishment the past month or so has been sleep training. Whew! It was rough on Mommy and Daddy. We have never had to do cry it out and the big kids were pretty much born good sleepers, but Miss Reagan gave us a run for our money. I'll never be the one writing the parenting book that says "This is how you do such and such..." because let me just tell you every baby is so different. I was pretty convinced after 2 kids that cry it out wasn't for me, but I tried nearly everything else with Reagan and finally gave in to letting her cry. It was painful... for us.

Reagan prefers to sleep like this...

But now sleeps very well like this throughout the night. She has even learned to sleep on her side since once she flips to her back she can't get all the way back to her tummy. It was definitely worth the heartache to get her sleeping well and all in all in wasn't that long of a process to get her to this point. I am so grateful for my sweet friends that I texted often during naps to support me through this. And as I'm typing she is upstairs napping peacefully in her crib.

And look she's still a happy baby and doesn't even look traumatized. She's actually been much happier throughout the day now that she's getting a good nap and a good night's sleep.

5 years {Wyatt}

On January 9th, my first baby turned 5!!! How in the world do I have a 5 year old already?! The day Wyatt was born our lives changed forever. Ever since I can remember I wanted to be a Mommy more than anything else. All my prayers, wishes, and dreams as far back as I can remember asked that one day I'd be a Mommy. And this little guy started it all. He has brought more laughs, smiles, and special memories to us than I can count. He's a bundle of sweetness with his caring heart and a ball of fire with his adventurous, fearless personality. There have been many times that Chris and I just look at each other and can't believe that God has blessed us with so much.

I did a birthday interview with Wyatt this. Here is what he told me:

Favorites...
person? Aidan
color? blue, green, red
TV show? Ninja Turtles (I don't let him watch this so of course he told me how he wishes I'd let him watch it because it is his favorite)
movie? Polar Express
outfit? builder dress up (there's a vest and tools in the dress up bin that he loves)
sport? football
song? Planes song (the song that the movie Planes starts with)
friend? Aidan
book? Toy Story
vacation? the beach
memory? beach with Aidan
thing to do with friends? play catch
thing to do with Mommy? play games
thing to do with Daddy? build towers
thing to do with Kenley? ride bikes and ride the police car
thing to do with Reagan? kiss her and be so cute with her
toy? Dusty
food? nuggets and fries
animal? lions, tigers, cheetahs, and deers
fruit? apples and grapes
veggies? carrots
candy? gummies and gummy bears

What do you want to be when you grow up? a race car driver, marry Harper and be Eric (Eric is the prince on The Little Mermaid)
What are you good at? school
What do you wish? for Jesus in our heart
Who is your biggest hero? Aidan, me (himself), Tate (then I explained what a hero is and he said Ninja Turtles)

All about Wyatt:
He has LOTS of energy. Loves to create and come up with new ideas. He loves learning and loves school. His heart belongs to his sisters. He is the best big brother ever. He loves to play, loves his friends, loves to be outside. He loves any form of water. His TV time has to be limited (and what he can watch) because he is so animated that he acts out characters and this can get him into trouble. He needs his sleep. He wants to help and likes to have jobs to do (if it's a job he likes and wants to do at the time). He loves structure and loves to know "what's next." He asks me every night what we are doing the next day? He loves praise and gets a huge smile when he knows you are proud and he is proud, but he tries to hide his smile and it's very cute. He also smiles when he's nervous or in trouble (just like his Mommy). If there's a flower, he always picks it to give to Mommy. If Daddy is on the floor, he wants to roll around and wrestle. If Reagan is close by he wants to kiss her even though he's not supposed to (he can hardly stop himself). He takes care of, teaches, and plays with Kenley all the time. His favorite place to go is Grammy's.

These are a few of the things that make Wyatt, Wyatt. He keeps us on our toes and keeps our hearts full.
