What makes Grammy a cool Grammy...

Wyatt LOVES Grammy! I think he might live with her if I let him. Here are a few reasons he thinks she's the coolest that I happened to catch on camera.

1. She helps find cool bugs for Mommy and Wyatt to look at. Don't worry, she knows that she better NOT ever have a spider because I would flip. Wyatt loves to look at bugs. He says he's scared at first and then he will eventually want to touch it. 2. She comes over to play and she makes sure to play WITH Wyatt.

3. She works in the garage with Daddy and builds things. She always gives Wyatt a very important job, too.

Build and Grow

This summer Mackenzie and Jonathan told us about Lowe's Build and Grow that they had been taking Aidan to. It has since become a twice a month perfect playdate for two little boys that love to build things. Wyatt loves Build and Grow Saturdays!

A few Saturdays we met at Chick-Fil-A for breakfast and some playing before building. Wyatt and Aidan love to drive the Lowe's car. Sweet Avery just tags along for the ride. Wyatt loves Aidan's baby sister and I can't wait to see him with his own.

When Wyatt concentrates, he gets a very serious face and his top lip gets pointy (according to my mom, just like mine did). It's so fun to watch him work hard on something and be so proud of it.

And what can be sweeter than watching Daddy and Wyatt work together?!

Mommy and Wyatt working.

The first time we went the project was a tow truck. Wyatt called it Mater and was so excited to make him.

Since Mater, we have made binoculars, a school house, and a locker. Wyatt says "I did it, I made a ..." every time in such a proud way and it melts my heart. The other day we were driving on 121 and he saw Lowe's and told me that's where he built a house.

Wyatt, Mommy and Daddy are so proud of you, too!

Baby Update

I've been really bad about updating with information throughout this pregnancy. No news has been good news. It's been smoothe sailing other than some random headaches (not migraines this time thank goodness). My sugar testing went well a few weeks ago. My iron was pretty low so I've been taking my iron pills and feel much better. I was REALLY tired. This Saturday will be 32 weeks and I've started getting tired again, and Dr. Joseph says that sounds about right. She is very low. We are still working out even though I scale it all down a ton. The best part of this pregnancy is watching Wyatt get so excited for "Baby Sister." He talks about her every day. He has been coming up to my belly and giving her xoxo's and sings "Rock a Bye Baby" to her. He started all of this on his own. We read books about having a sibling and each time he asks for her to come out. That melts my heart and I hope he is just as excited when she gets here. He has been getting plenty of practice with his friends' siblings. He will share anything he has with the babies. Sometimes the bigger kids is a different story. My friend, Helen, said he knows he can get it back from the babies. haha

Stroller Strides Splash Day

Today at Stroller Strides we had Splash Day. Wyatt loves any kind of water and getting dirty so it was perfect! At the end of the workout the kids got to play.

Hot Potato with the Splash Ball

Duck Duck Goose with a Sponge

Water Balloons

And no water went to waste...

After playing in the water we stayed to play with friends. Wyatt played with Red Car (Lightning McQueen) in the dirt and leaves. He loves digging, burrying toys, and getting dirty. He's all boy!

Summer Days

We have been enjoying our summer days even though it has been so HOT. Here's an idea of what we've been up to.

I started working out after summer school got out and have really enjoyed the group of girls and their kids. Wyatt loves going to "exercise" as he calls it. We go 3 times a week and I feel better on the days that I go even though I feel completely out of shape. Wyatt loves his new ride!

Wyatt's favorite part is at the end of the workout when we park the strollers near the huge sand pit and playground and the kids get to go play. He takes his cars in the sand and loves to burry them. I've noticed that he really loves to share with and talk to the babies. Hopefully this will continue when baby sister gets here.

Two days a week we go play math with Aunt Sarah and Uncle Garrett. Wyatt feels really big getting to play, too. Especially when Mommy brings cool math things for the lessons like Leggos and Hershey bars. On these days Pap and Daddy usually come have lunch at Pap and Lori's with us.

Wyatt loves shapes and so we've been playing with the cookie cutters to make fun shapes with our food. He calls circles "wheels." Last night we made star and heart Jell-o Jigglers.

After lunch, Wyatt takes a nap. This boy loves to sleep and loves his big bed. I'll get pictures once we finish his room. We still have to put up the chair rail, then it'll be complete!

He also LOVES to make things. The other day at the craft store I was getting stuff and he got to pick something out. He picked out a wooden truck, of course. Then he got to paint the truck and he was sooooo proud of it. When Daddy got home he said "Daddy, look truck that Wyatt make" with a huge smile. My mom says he looks just like me when he's trying to concentrate.

We've been working on pottying in the potty, but Wyatt seems to have lost interest in it. I'm trying not to push it too much and we make it as fun as we can. He got to pick out big boy underwear (Cars and Mickey). He doesn't like to sit and wait which is the biggest problem. This particular day, I thought of a solution...

Still not there, but we will keep working on it. Hopefully we will be succesfully trained before Miss Kenley gets here.

Bathtime has always been a favorite of Wyatt's. He just loves water, any kind of water. His new thing is to give the cars a carwash. This means that the faucet must be on and he has to give them some bubbles and brush their teeth. The other day he was in there for about an hour while I showered and got ready. He wanted to stay even longer!

If there's time Wyatt likes to watch a little bit of Cars before bed.

Wyatt, you make our days so much fun! I love watching you learn new things and grow each and every day.

While Mommy taught Summer School...

Wyatt went to Grammy Day Camp a few days and to work with Daddy a few days a week. He had so much fun with Grammy and Daddy.

Grammy's garage was a nice cool(er) place to get some outside time and he spent most of his day out there. Grammy is officially obsessed with Cars cars. He has a growing set at her house and ours. (P.S. It's just too HOT for clothes this summer so ignore that Wyatt is usually wearing just a diaper unless we go out.)

They played baseball.

They ate freezey-pops and discovered Thomas the Train. I've avoided it for 2 and a half years because Thomas drives me nuts, but.... he now loves the trains and the tracks.

Grampy thought the mini-track above was boring so they headed to Toys R Us and came back with much much more (so much that some are waiting in the closet to be presents another day)!
I guess grandparents get to spoil their grandkids...

Wyatt loved sleeping in Grammy and Grampy's BIG bed. He also loves Grammy's lobster pillow pet. (He has a checkered flag bandana because he got a prize while shopping with me at the craft store. That's what he picked.)

Grammy and Wyatt worked on this hand me down table for weeks sanding it, staining it, re-sanding and re-staining until it was perfect. Now it's too perfect to be outside so it's the play table in our playroom. Thanks Grammy, we love it!

And he gets "pop" when it's movie time.

This is what going to work with Daddy looked like. Wyatt loved the "office" especially when he found Pap's (Chris's dad) snack drawer and little toys he has in his office.

And occasionally it looked like this....

I love this picture and think it's the cutest thing ever even if Wyatt is in time-out. It made me laugh when Chris texted it to me at work.

Elmo and Wyatt even got to go to a few lunch meetings with Daddy.

Wyatt sure did love his special mornings.

Our Visit to Alabama

I'm waaay behind in posting. Oops. Again. Back in May we went to Alabama to see Bunny, Big Daddy, Aunt Maddie, and Aunt Kenzie (I told you, waaaay behind). Chris's stepdad is in the Army and they were stationed in Alabama but got transferred to the East Coast so we headed out just before they moved to get in some good family time and that we sure did! Wyatt was so excited to see everyone and we enjoyed hanging out with the whole family. Mike's been gone for a long time serving our country and it sure was nice to have the whole family together!

I have to admit that Wyatt did much better than his pregnant momma on the trip. He didn't complain once. I, on the other hand, hate driving and did not enjoy the "scenery and experience" as Chris does. We left at night, but I finally got Chris to agree to stop about 2/3 of the way at a hole-in-the-wall motel so we could sleep in a bed. I didn't even care what it looked like, I was so glad there was a bed! We got a little sleep, got up, and finished out the trip. On a side note, we've never let Wyatt sleep in our bed unless at hotels or on trips and it cracks me up. He loves it, but he also thinks it's a big slumber party. He will giggle, stick his finger up your nose, giggle, put his face right up to yours, and giggle some more. I love it! So funny.

Our fancy motel. :)

When we pulled into the driveway, everyone was so excited to see each other and we got lots and lots of hugs in. Then we got all cleaned up and Sue cooked a great dinner for us and some of Mike's Army friends who all came over to see them before the move, too. Wyatt thinks it's super cool to have young aunts and they sure do love to hang out with him. We don't have to worry for a second because the girls don't take their eyes off of him. There were also some other kiddos that came over so Wyatt had a great time playing with everyone. He thought he was a big kid, too. (Aunt Maddie is in green and Aunt Kenzie is in purple.)

Chris played football with the little kids after dinner.

Bunny posing with Wyatt. She got him Mickey Mouse drinks and Wyatt loved them. We filled it a million times.

Before we left, we got a good picture of Big Daddy, Bunny, the girls, and Wyatt.

Chris has more pictures. We spent a lot of time just hanging out and visiting. Big Daddy did some fireworks one night for us. Each night, we sat on the driveway and watched bats (one of my favorite animals to watch) fly across between the trees and power lines. The girls LOVE animals and science and they told Wyatt all kinds of facts about animals while we sat outside. We went looking for lizards one day, but no luck. A few weeks after we left, they found a HUGE snake (Chris's biggest fear) in the garage. Luckily, we missed that adventure because Chris might have run around screaming like a little girl while the girls watched the whole thing carefully and with no fear.

Thank you for such a fun weekend. We look forward to coming to the new house in the future. We love you lots!
