Cousin Camp

My kids think it is super fun to have Cousin Peyton come play with us. After nap (yes, I make cousins sleep at cousin camp!) we walked over to Marketstreet to pick up a few things. All the kids were so good. This picture is awful - Wyatt is squatting down to be in my shadow, Kenley is eating a snack, and Peyton is enjoying her feet in the air, but it's the best we could get.

1 Year {Kenley}

This month Kenley is...
ONE YEAR OLD!!!
21 lbs 6.5 oz
30 and 3/4 in
The happiest baby ever
Getting more and more teeth - she even has molars coming in
All about eating still and loving her naps and sleeping at night
Loving playing with toys, getting into everything she can reach, and laughing at her brother
She claps, blows kisses, and knows her feet (she will kick her feet if you talk about them)

We had your first birthday party at the Carousel at Stonebriar Mall in Frisco (the Saturday before your birthday) and it was the perfect place to celebrate. All the kids (little and big - adults included) loved riding the carousel. We had a coloring station and sticker station set up to decorate party hats, which was great for before and after the party. There were donuts for breakfast and of course birthday cake. The cupcakes were white cake with purple or pink icing and you ate your ENTIRE cupcake.

After the party, we headed over to Grammy and Grampy's house to open presents and hang out with family until nap time. You got so many cute outfits and some super fun toys.

On your actual birthday, Wyatt had preschool, so we dropped him off and then headed over to Grammy's house for her famous waffles. She didn't have a birthday candle so we made this huge candle work. You love to be sung to! We facetimed Bunny so she could see you on your birthday, too. You like to be able to see and talk to her. Then we went shopping, of course.

*These pictures are out of order and most of them are on Daddy's good camera so here are just a few.

Your waffle breakfast.

Your pedi.

I gave you a little whipped cream and I'm pretty sure you love it as much as I do.

Birthday party: Cake time!

This is classic! The Jeans' kids like cake!
Dear Kenley,
Our family is so blessed to have you. You sweet smile, loving personality, and easy-going nature are such a joy to be around. The past year has been one of the best years of our lives. Mommy and Daddy's favorite thing to do is watch you and Wyatt play together. He absolutely adores you and thinks you are his best friend. He checks on you all the time, is sad when you get sad, and loves more than anything to make you laugh. You are sure to be tough girl, because sometimes he plays pretty rough with you and you let him for the most part. We warn him that one day you are going to let him have it. :)
Watching you learn and grow this past year has been so exciting. I cannot wait to see what God has planned for your future. I know it is big. Reach for the stars, sweet girl.
Love,
Mommy and Daddy

Fair Day

On Friday the kids and I went to the fair with my mom, sister, Peyton (my niece), and Ashley. I love going to the fair. I missed it last year because I was on bed rest. I'm not sure what everyone's favorite part of the fair is but my "to do" list includes trying some fried stuff (this year it was a Fletcher's corny dog, oreo, and red velvet cupcake), the petting zoo, and the big slide. We do other stuff, but that's what I look forward to every year.

Ashley, Kenley, and I parked farther away from the entrance than everyone else (of course, Wyatt rode with Grammy) so we got to ride the little train to the gate. Kenley thought it was fun. She was super excited for her 1st trip to the fair.

The entrance we went in had tractors. These things are HUGE. I knew they were big and I see them all the time, but I had no idea how big they are til I was standing next to them. Wyatt loved climbing on all of them.

Huge.

It's official - she likes the fair.

I'm not a fan of the games. But my mom and sister love them. I like playing, too. I just think it's such a waste of money and I could take it or leave it. Lucky for Wyatt we always play games because they love them. Our first one was a horse race and you had to roll the balls in the holes to get the horses to move. I won. :) Wyatt thought he did and he chose a big Alex the Lion. He was so proud.I'm pretty sure this game was $5 to play and we all played... as I was saying such a waste of money. However, this face sure is priceless.

More games. My mom's favorite (the water shooting game). We don't mess around when it comes to winning either. Here's Aunt Lisa, Grammy, and Wyatt. Aunt Lisa won.

Peyton got tired of the games, too.

Kenley felt special riding with Alex the Lion.

Wyatt played the pop the balloons game and got 2 out of 5!

I told you Aunt Lisa LOVES the games and she even made let Peyton play.

Another priceless (probably another $5) face.

We went on Friday of Texas/OU weekend so the big trucks were parked outside the coliseum. Here's Wyatt sitting on the OU truck with his Tech Gun's Up. :)

We also rode several rides. Wyatt's favorite was a car ride that went around in circles, but on the corners of the track it whipped around faster and he would have rode it a million times. I am so glad he likes to rides all the rides.

And the highlight of my day (and I'm pretty Wyatt's, too) was the big slide. When I was growing up we had season passes to an amusement park in Grand Island, New York. We went all the time and 2 of my favorite memories were riding the big slide over and over again and riding in a carriage that went around a princess castle that had a water mote around it (my mom told us that there were crocodiles in the water). I think this is why I love the big slide at the fair so much. I hope Wyatt has memories like mine.

Sweetness

My friend, Ashley, gave Kenley a little taste of a sucker and after that taste it was all over. This girl's feelings got VERY hurt if Ashley tried to take it away. So, Ashley ended up holding a sucker for forever while Kenley ate the entire thing (it was a mini tootsie pop and it still took FOR.EV.ER).

Seniors!

My very first class of 6th graders are now Seniors! So Karrissa (one of my besties that I met my first year teaching and was on the same team of teachers with) and I headed out to see our all our kids at the Wakeland Homecoming game. Since I taught at Griffin Middle School for 4 years all my kiddos are in high school now. We had so much fun. And it was finally real football weather.

Wyatt LOVES football. He also LOVES hanging out with big kids. Uncle Garrett and Karrissa's son, Topher were so sweet to Wyatt.

Wyatt was so excited to see the "cats" which are actually wolverines. There's a boy and a girl. We got all the way down to see them and then he decided he's rather wave than give a high five.

Viewing from a good distance is much better...

Topher, Wyatt, and Garrett

I didn't see too many kids because most of the kids don't sit and watch the game. haha. But I did get to see these sweet siblings. I taught both of them and could hardly believe how grown up they are.

11 Months {Kenley}

This post is super late, but here it is. I can't believe that Miss Kenley is almost a year old! The year has flown by so fast. We didn't have an appointment this month so I don't have any stats, but every day Kenley learns something new. She is so curious. I call her Nosey Rosey because if something is going on, she has to see what it is. She NEVER falls asleep on the go, unless in the carseat. Even then she wakes up as soon as I pick her up. She can't miss a thing. I can remember Wyatt falling asleep in the stroller, at the dinner table, wherever. Not Nosey Rosey.

This month Kenley...
Is cruising all over the place with one hand holding on to something, but not yet walking
Crawling FAST
Standing better and better
Loves to climb
Laughing tons
Blowing kisses
Waving
Clapping
Trying to mimic sounds
Saying baby words mama, dada, gaga, baba, etc (we aren't sure if she is calling us mama and dada but sometimes it seems like she is)
Swings her hands all over the place when she doesn't want something or wants  space (usually that means for Wyatt to leave her alone) :)
Has tried and loves milk
Still loves to eat - anything and everything and you better plan on sharing with her

Kenley, watching you grow and learn is one of the greatest joys of our lives. We are so blessed to have you and we can't wait to see all that God has planned for your life.

10 Years

I graduated from high school 10 years ago. I know that if anyone would have asked me then what I wanted to accomplish in the next 10 years my list would have been to finish college, be a teacher, wife, and mother. The last 10 years have not been perfect, but when I look back I can see that God's plan was always in place. He was in charge and everything was in His time.

I dug up some OLD pictures from (most are packed away), but I did find an album of pictures of me and Chris.

Isn't he handsome?!

My class had a very simple reunion, which I was totally okay with. I had to miss the football game and family day at the park because I already had plans when the reunion was planned, but it ended up raining so I didn't miss out. Saturday night we had a dinner at Buca Di Beppo and it was nice to get to see and chat with old friends. I have no idea why I didn't take any pictures. I didn't even get one of me and Chris before. Maybe because it was raining and I was most worried about that. Who knows but I wish I had.

My mom watched Wyatt and Kenley and surprised them and took them to Chuck E. Cheese. I think they liked it. I heard Kenley was a fan of the food (she's my little eater).

When we got back to my mom's they were finishing up bathtime and getting ready to play Wyatt's favorite Hungry Hungry Hippos (he calls it Gulpy Gulpy Gators because Doc McStuffins does).

Kenley played, too.

Special times with Grammy.

I feel very blessed to have such a wonderful family and amzing friends. The people in my life are the ones that have made the last 10 years so great. We've all laughed together and cried together and that truly is what it's all about.
