Nap Time Big Boy and the Popper

Wyatt gets a note to bring home every day from school. Today his teachers wrote "after lunch Wyatt went to his mat, laid down, and went to sleep ALL BY HIMSELF." I think this means he was having so much fun he wore himself out. I love that he has fun and that he's used to the school schedule. Even though I can't wait til Summer so we can hang out all day every day.

Okay, the popper... My mom got Wyatt a little toy that he can push or pull and it makes the little balls inside pop around (we all had one and we never knew how loud they were). Well, this has become his absolute favorite toy. When he wakes up he finds it, when we get home he finds it, before bed he wants to bring it (no, we don't put it in the bed... yet). It even rides in the car with us. I've been sending her pictures of him with it so she will believe me how much he loves it. I was talking to my mom when we got home and within 1 minute of getting in the door you could here the pop, pop, pop, pop. I've got to see if I know how to get pictures from my phone on here.
Finally, I was able to get my picture on here and now blogger won't let me put it where I want it. I'll have to figure that out, but at least you can see the picture. Thanks for visiting our blog.

Fun Night

Tonight was a fun night. When I picked Wyatt up from school he was so excited. He ran over and gave me a huge hug like he always does. He was pointing at things to show me in the room. I'm not really sure what but he had lots to say about it. He can say a few words - bye-bye, ball (kind of), dada. He tells stories right now and I'm not quite sure what he's saying but it's the cutest thing ever. Then we went for a jog. I'm still trying to get back into running again. It was so pretty out. Wyatt ate his snack and just hung out while he rode. He loves being outside and loves going for walks and jogs.

During bath time Wyatt was being a big boy. He grabbed a wash cloth in one hand and his foot in the other and was washing his foot. Is that not the cutest thing ever?! Sometimes it amazes me what he will do. He can't even say mama yet (yes, that makes me sad and we are working on it), but he can wash his feet and brush his teeth.

After bath time I tried another attempt at play dough. It was a success! We played play dough together. I've been waiting for this because I love play dough and I remember playing with it all the time with my mom and sister. He even knew how to roll it. I think his teachers at school taught him. It's adorable. Of course, Chris videoed it so we will get it up for everyone to see. I love special memories like these.

All this fun wore Wyatt out and bedtime was soon after.

Videos of Wyatt

This is Chris - Since there hasn't been a post here since early January of this year and the post previous to that was in mid January of last year I figured I would jump in here and share some videos of our little man from the last couple of months. Friends and family if you would like a copy of a video to save shoot me an email and I will be happy to forward you a copy.

This video is just a short clip of Wyatt - he is such a cute kid and hard to beleive that he looks so much more grown up than he looks in this video.

This video is of Wyatt crawling. I had picked Wyatt up from daycare that day and ran home to grab a snack before meeting up with AmyJo - I had set Wyatt down by his toys and went to grab something out of the fridge and when I looked back to check on Wyatt he was gone, well panic set in since my non mobile son was not where I had last left him - as I walked out of the kitchen I see him under his high chair stairing up at me smiling. So, my little man was now a crawler! I put him back in the same spot I had before and whipped out the Flip video camera (these things are great if you have kids!) and proceeded to record his second crawl while calling Mommy and telling her the exciting news. I feel lucky that I was there to witness his crawling - sure I missed the "first" crawl, but I saw the second and got it on video and means alot to me.

I forgot to mention that he started to crawl 1 hour and 19 minutes prior to being officially 6 months old.

The next video is from a little later in the month of September when we were out to eat at Souper Salad - there is a bit of everything in this video - flying mucus, baby talk and a creepy old lady staring at us, enjoy!
