A few Wyatt Videos

This is Chris - I haven't posted any videos of Wyatt lately, work and getting settled in the new house has kept me fairly busy but finally I have a chance to sit down and mess with some videos.

Wyatt continues to amaze me, he is growning like a weed and learning new things everyday. I picked him up from daycare today and when I put him in his car seat it hit me, my baby boy is really growing up - he does not look like a baby anymore! Where does the time go?

There is no playing with food here!

He is an absolute blast to watch him grow up!

Mom-mom-mom-mom

Wyatt did it! Finally, he said "mom" tonight and not just one random time that I tried to convince myself it was "mom". This was official. He wanted his toothbrushes (yes, we have 2 because he loves them so much) and he said "mom-mom-mom....!" I did this several times and even got him to say "mom that" telling me what he wanted. Yay!!! I'm so excited! Chris recorded some of it on his phone and hopefully he can figure out how to get it on here.

Our first picnic on the patio!

Tonight we decided to eat on the patio for the first time at this house. It was so nice outside. While I grilled the chicken, Wyatt ate a popsicle. This was his first popsicle to eat all by himself. One look at the picture and you'll see he liked it! Then we had our picnic dinner. We took the best picture we could get.

Happy Birthday Pap and Grammy

Chris's dad and my mom have the same birthday, May 20th, so we've had a birthday filled few days. Thursday night we went to Pap and Lori's to grill out with family.

Shootin' hoops with Pap and Daddy. Wyatt would do this for hours!
Look what Wyatt's looking at!

Oh, my...

And then, of course he needed some milk...

Saturday night we celebrated Grammy's birthday. I didn't get too many pictures, but here are a few.

After dinner, Wyatt and I played outside and made this for Grammy. If you look closely you can see Wyatt's artwork over mine.

Then we decided to play in the water.

Here is how the night ended. See my mom's new kitten. Chris says he hates cats. Can you tell?!

Happy Birthday Pap and Grammy! We love you very much.

Another Busy Weekend

We had another great weekend with family and friends. Here are some pictures that I remembered to snap.
Aunt Lisa graduated on Friday with her Masters. We are so proud of her. Wyatt wasn't really into taking pictures. Wyatt ate his yogurt with a spoon. Our baby is turning into a big boy so quickly.

We went shopping and then got to ride the horses. Wyatt loves the carousel, but you don't know how much he loves it until you try to take him off.

And tonight we gave him his own uncut corn on the cob. He knew exactly what to do and it was so cute. He spent all of dinner just eating that corn.

Wyatt's Big Day...

Today was Wyatt's big day. He got tubes in his ears and we are so proud of how well he did. And very thankful for the wonderful doctor, nurses, and staff that took care of him today. We went to the new Methodist hospital in McKinney and everyone was fantastic. Of course, I snapped pictures for the blog.

Here is Wyatt in the lobby while we were checking in.

After he got a suited up in the stylish hospital gown. He was such a good boy while waiting. We played and played.
He got lots of bracelets.

Then they brought him 3 teddy bears to choose from and this is the one he picked. It had a note on it from the doctor that said "Get Well Very Soon."

It was taking a while so we started to color. Then, of course, they came to get Wyatt and he wasn't quite finished coloring. So, off they took him with crayons in tow. He was happy and didn't even cry (once he got to take his crayons). Mommy and Daddy went to the waiting room for about 5 minutes. Then the doctor came to talk to us and tell us everything went great. Then we went back to hold our baby.

We missed a few pictures because he was so confused and sad. After about 10 minutes we got him to stop crying with these graham crackers. Then they walked us out to the car and here's our little trooper. He looks so sleepy. (Notice the popper that HAD to come with us in the car this morning.)

We came home and had lunch and then went for a nap. Daddy went to work for a bit then came home and I went to work for the rest of the day. Our friends Chancy and Cooper came over for dinner and to play. Wyatt was happy to get to play with Cooper. She always make him feel better. Mommy, Daddy, and Wyatt played outside and then it was bedtime. We called this Wyatt's special day, but I think he's ready for a plain old day tomorrow. We are very thankful everything turned out so well and are looking forward to no more ear infections!

Mother's Day Weekend

We had such a nice and relaxing weekend. We celebrated Mother's Day with my family on Saturday night. Everyone came over for fajitas and hanging out. Wyatt had fun playing with his cousins Skylor, Marnie, and Devyn. He ate at his little table that Daddy made him a while back. I still need to paint it, but it worked great and he loved it. When he was finished eating he would put some food on the ground and the dogs would go under the table and eat it. He thought it was the funniest thing ever. He did it over and over. When he laughed he closed his eyes and laughed really loud. Here's a picture of him doing this. It was so funny!

We love chalk!

I'm not sure who loves playing with chalk more, me or Wyatt. We had fun tonight while Daddy was at a charity skeet shoot. His team got 2nd place!

Today at school...

We've been noticing that if Wyatt sees something that looks like trash (usually pieces of paper), he will get it and take it to the trash. We figured that he learned this at school. Today when I went to pick him up he was eating some animal crackers. When I walked in the room he was so excited to see me and I sat down with him. He immediately started handing me all his crackers that he had left. He loves to share his food (not toys) lately. Then he grabbed his bowl and took it to the trashcan and was ready to go. How neat is that!? I love it. How do you train a 27 year old boy? Just kidding...

Cupcakes with Cooper

Chancy and Cooper came over tonight and brought Wyatt a cupcake. They had so much fun playing. They played on the slide. Cooper would tell Wyatt "my slide Wy-wy" and Wyatt would scream at her, but all together they had fun and so did we. Here are some pictures of all the fun.

Changes

I'm sure you've noticed, but I have to mention... my new pretty blog! I'm so excited that it is all finished. I've been on the Pink Armchair Designs waiting list and it was my turn. Jenny is so talented.

I just had this post completely typed out and then the computer decided to delete everything and save it after it had deleted it so here goes round 2. The good news is now you get the modified version.

It's been a crazy chaotic week. Thursday we closed on our house, that night we went everywhere looking for the perfect refrigerator (we found one we love), Friday I took off to start packing and moving, and we worked non-stop all weekend to get as much done as we possibly could. We were so excited that we spent our first night in the new house Friday (we had planned on waiting until Sunday). The dogs got to spend their first night here Saturday. They love their new home, too! We owe a big thank you to Grammy for playing with Wyatt all weekend, and a huge thank you to Grandma Michelle for all the packing, unpacking, and organizing that she did, and of course all our friends that helped and hung out with us. Poor Wyatt was sick all weekend. We went to the doctor on Saturday and he had something viral and a million teeth coming in. He's been hurting and grumpy and that just not like him at all. He was sad to have to miss his friends' birthday parties this weekend, but we didn't want to get anyone sick.

I have to give Chris alot of credit, too. He has been setting up all the utilities and making all those calls. We had Dish set up Saturday morning (priorities, duh!), internet/phone and the blinds guy came today. And Chris let the refrigerator man in today so that could be set up.

Today was also my first day at my new campus. I'll be teacing high school biology next year. I'll go back to my current job tomorrow, but each year around this time we have a day where we set goals and start thinking about the next year and you go with the job you will have. Everyone was so welcoming and I am looking forward to working with them. I love the school, too. If you know me well, you probably know that I don'tusually like change. It's completely out of my comfort zone. I'm not sure what got into me making me want to try new things but I'm embracing it all and I'm so excited.

I've had the worst headache all day thanks to all this pollen in the air. So, I'm back to bed, but I wanted to update you on all the new things going on. And I wanted to see the signature that Jenny made for my posts. ;)
